The sound of the Outbound Assault Siren startled the squad from their beds, since they had not heard that particular alarm in ages. They met with Commander LUEshi in the briefing room.

"We finally caught a break. Interceptor 1 shot down a small ship over China last night, and reportedly the damage was mostly to the craft's propulsion system. That means a good opportunity to snap up some of their Elerium, which I'm sure you're all aware, we're in desperate need of. Simple cleanse-and-recover mission. Good luck, men. Dismissed."

As the Skyranger settled into the field a few hours later, the HWP rolled down the landing ramp, turning it's turret to blast the life from a strange, snake-like alien on it's way down. The squad quickly scrambled after it, mokujin gunning down another snakeman on his way. Ramza357 spotted some movement to his left in a field, turning and searing the skin off of a third snakeman with his heavy plasma cannon. A perimeter sweep proved uneventful, and the HWP located and scouted the area around the seemingly pristine enemy craft. Child of Asuka and Shadowzero stormed the craft, quickly gunning down the two remaining aliens with their laser and plasma bursts, and the squad soared through the skies soon afterward, without a single enemy shot fired at them, and carrying an alien power supply full of the elusive element, Elerium-115.
